This is a structured, academically oriented mentoring program that examines applied ethology, anthrozoology, learning theory, and behavior modification in real-world practice contexts. The program is grounded in scientific literature, supported by extensive field experience, and aligned with professional standards for behavior and training. It is designed to develop analytical competence in behavioral observation, functional assessment, intervention planning, critical thinking, and responsible professional decision-making.
Although the work is practical and case-based, participants are expected to interact with multiple disciplinary perspectives rather than adopt a single one. Emphasis is placed on conceptual clarity, interpretive discipline, ethical responsibility, and welfare-centered application.
Mentoring is conducted in a private, nonjudgmental environment to support honest discussion of uncertainty, limitations, and the realities of complex cases, without performance expectations. Feedback is professional, direct, impartial, and respectful, with a focus on improved clarity, consistency, and results.
All mentoring communication is managed through a private, on-site platform and email. The platform and email will be used for scheduling, messaging, sharing resources, and, when relevant, submitting optional materials such as case notes, training plans, short analytical writing, or practice videos.
Participants also receive access to a moderated discussion group hosted inside the platform. The group is optional and supplementary to individual mentoring. It is designed for professional exchange, reflective discussion, and community support, while maintaining high standards of confidentiality, respect, and methodological seriousness.
The mentoring remains academically grounded but is centered on practical reality: real cases, real conditions, and real human-animal relationships. Study topics are adapted to the participant’s practice context and the cases being discussed, with an emphasis on translating theory into consistent, ethical interventions.
For participants who prefer a predefined and systematically organized curriculum, a structured pathway is available through the Interspecies Communication Program. This program follows the same mentoring model and supervision model while providing a clearly sequenced academic-like structure composed of six modules.
The program is designed to establish solid theoretical foundations together with applied competence, combining conceptual study with supervised practical work.
The structured program includes six modules:
• Fundamentals of Ethology
Introduction to behavioral science, species specific behavior patterns, ecological context, and observational methodology.
• Foundations of Interspecies Communication
Conceptual frameworks underlying communication across species, perception systems, interspecies conflict and limits of anthropomorphic interpretation.
• Signaling and Communication Systems
Study of signaling modalities, behavioral markers, communicative intent, and interpretation of multimodal signals.
• Methodological Observation and Analysis
Development of structured observation protocols, case documentation, and analytical reasoning grounded in ethological principles.
• Practical Application
Translation of theoretical models into applied contexts, including case assessment, intervention planning, and communication strategies.
• Supervised Practical Work
Guided implementation through real or simulated cases, reflective analysis, and methodological evaluation under supervision.
The program is delivered through guided independent study supported by mentored supervision. Participants work with pre-existing materials and recommended academic resources aligned with the module sequence, combined with applied tasks agreed upon during consultations. Emphasis is placed on methodological rigor, conceptual clarity, and direct integration into professional or practical contexts.
All other program conditions, including consultation format, pacing, language options, supervision structure, learning materials, and certification, remain identical to those described for the general mentoring program.
Participants who wish to focus on a single topic or specific subject area are encouraged to choose our consulting services rather than the mentoring program.
The mentoring program is structured as a continuous learning process developed over multiple sessions, with progressive integration of theory, reflection, and applied practice. Its format is intended to support sustained methodological development rather than isolated study of individual themes.
Consulting services provide a more appropriate framework for addressing specific questions, individual cases, or targeted areas of interest, allowing focused guidance without the continuity and educational structure required within the mentoring program.
The program is delivered through guided independent study supported by mentored supervision. Participants work with curated materials and recommended academic resources selected according to their objectives and context, combined with applied tasks agreed upon during supervision. The emphasis is on methodological consistency, conceptual precision, and direct translation into practice.
The mentoring program is supported by several materials and recommended readings, selected based on the participant’s objectives and practice context. In addition to resources available on the private platform, participants are expected to conduct their own research as part of the program’s educational component, including independently reading and reviewing relevant scientific and professional sources.
Recommended readings deepen conceptual understanding, strengthen methodological precision, and support informed decision-making in applied cases. Where appropriate, the mentor may suggest specific topics, authors, papers, or reference texts to support current mentoring priorities.
Please note that recommended readings are not included in the program fee. Any costs related to books, articles, memberships, database access, printing, or other external resources are the participant’s responsibility. Internet access is also required to access external materials and complete self-research.
870€ | 6500 kr or 3 payments of 290€ | 2170 kr
Please be aware that because the service is delivered as exclusive one-to-one guidance with close supervision, places are highly limited and availability is restricted. For this reason, inquiries are best made only when there is a real intention to join and commit to the mentoring program.
