The Human-Animal Science Encyclopedia is an independent project developed by Roberto Barata to provide concise, reliable entries on human-animal studies, each grounded in the published literature and fully cited. It is not a peer-reviewed journal and makes no claim to be one. What it offers is a careful, sourced starting point on subjects where most of what circulates is neither.
Entries are published inside the International Interspecies Studies community. Members access them there, and they can comment on and discuss each entry. Writing an encyclopedia properly takes far more time and resources than the finished entries suggest, and membership is what makes this independent work possible.
Access to the entries is through membership of the International Interspecies Studies community. This page remains the record of what the encyclopedia is, how it is built, and the standards it holds itself to.
